Swan Song

South African actress and author Buhle Ngaba presents her multi-award-winning solo «Swan Song». The poignant story about growing up is set in a tiny apartment in Johannesburg. It follows the journey of a young Tswana woman from Taung who was born with a protruding shoulder blade. Her «broken wing» reflects her constant struggle for belonging and a sense of home. «Swan Song» is all about grief and love, vividly showing how closely these issues are interwoven with our bodies.

«A brutally vulnerable performance»
